AC Milan’s Pato would only leave the San Siro for the Nou Camp

AC Milan’s South American wonderkid Alexandre Pato has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea and Manchester City.

Despite continued interest from City, Pato has stated he is happy at Milan.

“I am honoured by City’s interest, but I am a Milan player and I’m happy here” he said.

However, if Pato does decide to leave Milan, there is only one club he would be prepared to go to, and that’s Barcelona.

“If one day I do leave Milan, I’d like to wear the Barcelona jersey, I think I’d only leave Milan for Barcelona” said the Brazilian.

There are rumours in the Italian press that Barcelona have already secured first option on Pato’s signature, should he ever leave the San Siro.

According to the speculation, a first option for Pato was agreed as part of the loan deal that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic join the Rossoneri in the summer.

If such a deal were to go through any time soon, it would certainly cast doubt on the future of Bojan Krkic, who already has new signing David Villa to compete with.

Barcelona return to action this weekend playing host to league leaders Valencia, in what is surely the biggest game of the season so far.

Despite Valencia’s outstanding start of five wins and a draw from their opening six league games, Barca start as favourites at 4/11, but Valencia’s price,7/1, is a lot lower than it would have been at the start of the season.

Currently sitting in fourth in La Liga, Barcelona will want to lay down a marker to the rest of the league that the title will be staying at the Nou Camp – Barcelona are 8/11 to win La Liga.

Barcelona will want to send a message to Real Madrid, who whacked Deportivo La Coruna 6-1 last time out, that they still mean business.

Real Madrid are 11/10 to win La Liga. See the full La Liga betting odds market here.
