Ipswich vs QPR – Unbeaten records being put on the line

Published:

Ipswich’s run of successive clean sheets may be put to the test in their next Championship outing as they host the division’s top scorers and leaders QPR.

The pair are just two of three teams still unbeaten in the Championship after five games, with history favouring Ipswich to land another three points.

Roy Keane’s men have won the last four meetings between the two and are 7/5 to extend this sequence to five games.

Meanwhile, they are also unbeaten in the last nine and it is 23/10 that the honours will end even at Portman Road.

Keane has the option of handing a home debut to Mark Kennedy as he has recovered from a hamstring problem, while Tottenham loanee Andros Townsend is available for selection again after serving a suspension.

QPR may be set to include their own on-loan Tottenham player in the fixture as Kyle Walker has completed his move across London.

Walker was snapped up on a one-month loan deal by Neil Warnock after both Bradley Orr and Peter Ramage picked up injuries and he could start at Ipswich.

QPR are no slouches in the clean sheet department as they are the only side in the Championship to have not conceded in four games this season.

They may also be aided by the fact that Ipswich have not scored a league goal in the first half of any game this season.

Warnock’s team are 15/8 to remain at the top of the league with a win with Jamie Mackie 7/1 to open the scoring and net his fifth league goal of the campaign.

Ipswich won the corresponding fixture 3-0 this season. See the whole Ipswich vs QPR match betting market.
