Accrington Stanley and Chesterfield face Tuesday night away trips

Published:

Port Vale and Rotherham ended Accrington Stanley and Chesterfield’s unbeaten runs on Saturday, and the two sides face a tough ask to bounce straight back from defeat on Tuesday.

Accrington Stanley travel south through Manchester to face Stockport County and the south Manchester side have picked up eight points from their last four games and are 7/5 to win tonight.

Stockport were favourites to struggle at the bottom of the league when the League Two season started in August, but have started the season strongly with 10 points from eight games.

Striker George Donnelly has found the net five times this season and is 5/1 to score the first goal.

The Hatters are yet to win at home this season and Accrington are 9/5 to make the trip back to North Manchester with all three points.

However Accrington haven’t scored away from home all season and Stockport have beaten them on the last three occasions, keeping clean sheets in the process and Stockport are 7/1 to win 1-0 or 8/1 to win 2-0.

Chesterfield also face a tricky away tie when they make the visit to Northampton and with just the three goals in the previous five ties between the two, it doesn’t look as if the Cobblers faithful will be in for a exciting watch.

Northampton are unbeaten at home in the league with two wins and two draws and are 11/8 to win on Tuesday night.

Chesterfield’s loss at Rotherham on Saturday ended their unbeaten run but the Spireites were also yet to win away and the 15/8 for them to win tonight could be considered a little short.

The 0-0 draw is available at 8/1 whilst a draw can be backed at 12/5.

Chesterfield are fourth in the League and 8/1 to win League Two. See the full League Two football betting odds markets here.
