Undefeated Rotherham avoiding a play-off final hangover

Published:

There are countless examples of teams who have taken an eternity to recover from play-off final defeat but the hurdle jumped by Rotherham this weekend suggests that they are well on course to bounce back from defeat to Dagenham and Redbridge at Wembley.

The Millers found themselves 3-1 down at home to surprisingly unbeaten Cheltenham yet struck five times in 26 minutes to eventually triumph 6-4, with Adam Le Fondre striking four times to emerge as current League Two top goalscorer, having netted 27 times last year.

Ronnie Moore’s side are two points behind 100 per cent record holders Yeovil, however are unsurprisingly 7/1 joint-favourites to win the league. That price may lengthen over the next few weeks though depending on how they far on tough trips to Hereford and Shrewsbury.
