Exeter boss Tisdale has goal to increase away win ratio

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale can see no reason why his team will not win more games on the road this season than was the case during the last campaign.

Tisdale’s team only avoided the relegation places in League One last season by one point after struggling dismally away from St James’ Park, winning only two games.

Both of their fixtures so far have been at their home and they are now preparing to face their first away trip when heading to Leyton Orient.

They are 23/10 to collect maximum points and Tisdale is optimistic that this can be achieved, particularly if the performance displayed in a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool in their final away game last season can be reproduced.

He told the Express & Echo: “I see no reason why we can’t improve on last year’s away form. This is our first away game since Hartlepool back in April. If we play like we did that day I will be very pleased.

“There isn’t much I am going to change. We have learned from last year’s experiences.”

Exeter drew both fixtures against Orient last season, including a 1-1 at Brisbane Road, and it is 23/10 that the points will be shared again.

Meanwhile, Exeter have drawn their opening two League One games 2-2 and 14/1 is on offer for the same outcome at Orient, while the 1-1 is 11/2.

Daniel Nardiello was the first scorer in the most recent draw with Bristol Rovers and he is 6/1 to hit the opener against Orient.

Leyton Orient are also still searching for their first win of the campaign and are 6/5 to beat Exeter. See the full Leyton Orient vs Exeter betting market.
