Holland vs Brazil – teams announced

Published:

Brazil have recalled Felipe Melo for their quarter-final clash with Holland, which kicks off at 3pm.

Melo replaces the suspended Ramires and slots into his familiar holding midfield role alongside Gilberto Silva. Brazil are 5/6 to win.

Elano is injured, so Barcelona’s Dani Alves retains his place in the starting XI. Alves is 7/1 to score at any time.

Holland coach Bert Van Marwijk has decided against making any changes to the side that beat Slovakia 2-1 in the second round.

Arjen Robben starts again, and he is joined in attack by Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie, who is 6/1 to open the scoring.

The confirmed starting line-ups are:

Holland: Stekelnburg; Boulahrouz, Mathijsen, Heitinga, Van Bronckhorst (Captain); De Jong, Van Bommel, Sneijder; Kuyt, Robben, Van Persie

Brazil: Julio Cesar; Maicon, Lucio (Captain), Juan, Michel Bastos; Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo; Dani Alves, Robinho, Kaka; Luis Fabiano
