Brazil vs North Korea – teams announced

Published:

Brazil have named a full-strength side with enormous goalscoring potential for their opening match against North Korea, which kicks off at 7.30pm tonight.

Dunga, who has refuted criticism from the Brazilian public about his so-called negative approach, has named Kaka, Robinho and Luis Fabiano in an attack which could torment North Korea.

Luis Fabiano – with 25 goals from 38 caps – is a convincing 11/4 to begin his quest for the Golden Shoe by scoring first.

North Korea start with the ‘Asian Wayne Rooney’, Jong Tae Se, in attack, and he is 14/1 to give the South Americans an early fright by opening the scoring.

The confirmed line-ups are:

Brazil: Cesar; Maicon, Lucio (Captain), Juan, Michel Bastos; Melo, Gilberto Silva, Elano; Kaka, Robinho, Luis Fabiano

North Korea: Myong Guk; Jong Hyok, Kwang Chon, Chol Jin, Jun Il; Yong Hak, Nam Chol, Yun Nam, In Guk; Tae Se, Yong Jo (Captain)
