Argentina vs Mexico – teams announced

The teams for Argentina v Mexico are in and as expected each manager makes changes.

Argentina boss Diego Maradona makes five changes from the team that beat Greece 2-0 last time out. They are 1/5 to qualify.

Despite impressing aganst the Europeans Clemente Rodriguez makes way for Gabriel Heinze at left-back, while Javier Mascherano comes back in for Mario Bolatti as the holding midfielder.

Maxi Rodrigues, whose goal knocked Mexico out at this stage four years ago, keeps his place, meaning Angel Di Maria replaces Juan Veron.

Up front Maradona goes with his preferred partnership as Carlos Tevez (11/2 to score first) and Gonzalo Higuain (4/1) come in for Sergio Aguero and Diego Milito respectively.

It’s the same front six that put four past South Korea in their second group game.

Javier Aguirre makes three changes to the Mexico team that lost 1-0 to Uruguay. They are 3/1 to qualify.

Livewire forward Javier Hernandez comes in for Guillermo Franco to make his first World Cup start. He is 9/1 to score first as he did against France when on as a substitute.

Adolfo Bautista replaces Cuauhtemoc Blanco, for his maiden appearance at this tournament and Efrain Juarez comes in for Hector Moreno, with Rafael Marquez reverting to centre-back.
