Never one to shy away from controversy and the limelight thus far on the X Factor, there are strong rumours that Kitty Brucknell was perform on the third live show with an animal.
Kitty has already stunned both viewers and judges once at boot camp with a specialist outfit consisting of very little material and a load of flashing lights.
In order to boost her chances of staying in the competition, it is now 4/7 in the X Factor odds that she is accompanied by an animal on the stage.
There is also an X Factor betting market relating to which pet she will choose, with a snake considered the most likely.
It is 7/4 that a snake is chosen and this is arguably most likely because their behaviour is far more predictable, in terms of that they will simply coil around her body rather than running off the stage and ruining the performance.
This is the situation that could develop if a family pet was used on stage instead, but despite this it is 6/1 that Kitty performs alongside a cat.
A dog is 10/1 to be the animal, but even a trained dog may bark and affect the vocals of the performance.
The majority of other animals would potentially need to be in a cage and this would draw criticisms for both Kitty and the X Factor in general and so is almost certain to be avoided.
There is a major likelihood that this using an animal in her routine could backfire for Kitty and she is 9/2 to be the sixth X Factor act eliminated.
However, Rhydian Roberts has previously proved that an unlikeable act from the start of a competition can turn around his fortunes and get the public on side, eventually getting to the final.
Kitty is 5/4 to be the final over 25 act left in the competition and 40/1 to win the X Factor.
