Given that Tamera Foster is the favourite to win the X Factor at 6/4, logic would perhaps dictate that she would be considered the rank outsider of the remaining 10 acts to be eliminated from the show in week four.
However, this is far from the case, with Tamera 50/1 in the X Factor betting to be eliminated in disco week, which is a shorter price than both Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald.
In reality, there is little chance of Tamera going home this early in the show, as should she end up in the bottom two, it is 99.999999 per cent certain that she would be saved by the judges.
But, it is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that she finds herself in the sing-off in disco week, which is something that can be backed at 10/1.
There are many similarities between Tamera and former contestants Cher Lloyd and Misha B, both of whom also drummed up their fair share of social media criticism and bad media coverage.
In series eight, Misha B found herself in the bottom two as early as the fourth live show as she failed to strike a chord with the voting public, while Cher was an early frontrunner in 2010 before ending up in the sing-off midway through the competition.
The slight criticism that Tamera received from Gary Barlow in week three may not help her cause either, as this could be the steady slope to failure.
Janet Devlin and Ella Henderson began to receive some negative criticism at around this point in more recent series and never really hit their previous heights again.
Although obviously talented, there is an argument that Tamera fails to have the all-important likeability factor and so a punt on her ending up in the bottom two, is not as much as a longshot as many may believe.
