We may have to wait another week to find out this year’s definitive line-up for the X Factor live shows but the bookies appear to have already made their minds up about the potential winner.

Ladbrokes make Italian singing sensation Andrea Faustini the 2/1 market leader to take the 2014 crown, the shortest ever priced favourite at this stage of the competition.

PR spokesperson Jessica Bridge said: “As far as the odds are concerned Andrea’s already got one foot in the final. Punters have piled into his odds since his first audition and we cannot see it stopping any time soon.”

But what of the others?

Paul Akister is next in the betting at odds of 5/1 with the New Boy Band, Ben Haenow and Jay James all available at 6/1.

And while we agree with the bookmaker that Andrea is right to be everyone’s red-hot pick we’ve got a few opinions of our own when it comes to picking our own current favourites.

Here are our top three to follow.

Andrea Faustini – 2/1 to win X Factor

Easily the most impressive vocalist so far, 20-year-old Andrea is truly living his dream of being a hit on Britain’s version of the X Factor.

His performance of Jennifer Hudson’s And I Am Telling You to get through to live shows even had hard nut to crack Mel B crying.

Will take some stopping although could be caught short by others with more ‘star appeal’.

Jay James – 6/1

The early market leader may have had some of his shine taken away due to poor recent performances but his likeability ensures he’s still a big-player.

The 30-year-old ex-Royal Navy member has the look, the appealing backstory and with a little work, the voice to capture the attention of the nation and go all the way until Christmas.

Fleur East – 33/1

Simon was fast approaching a state of despair as he watched his acts fail to live up to their billing at judge’s houses.

But just when he needed a pick-me-up, 26-year-old Londoner Fleur East nailed Jessie J’s ‘Bang Bang’ to put a smile back on the music mogul’s face.

And at the current odds the she may well be worth a dabble.
