She might well be singing Disco classic I Will Survive this week but the odds suggest Sam Lavery has a fight on her hands to beat the X Factor axe.
The 17-year-old singer found herself in the bottom three for the first time last Sunday and the bookies think that’s a bad omen ahead of the Week 6 Live Shows.
However, she’s not the only one being backed for the boot with Sam and elimination regular Ryan Lawrie both 2/1 to get the chop.
Scottish singer Ryan has lived a charmed life so far, featuring in the bottom three on three separate occasions.
He’ll be tackling Wild Cherry’s Play That Funky Music this week. But whether he’ll have enough swagger to pull off the Disco classic remains to be seen.
Elsewhere, the news that you’ve all been waiting for…
Honey G will be performing her own version of Stayin’ Alive!
Everyone’s favourite rapper is 16/1 to be eliminated and is best avoided in this market.
As is Saara Alto. That might sound strange given the fact that the Finnish songstress has been up for elimination in three of the five Live Shows so far but we won’t be going near the 5/2 on offer.
Saara will be singing the Barbara Streisand/Donna Summer belter No More Tears (Enough is Enough).
It might not have the cheesy appeal of some of the other song choices but we all know that a) Saara CAN sing b) she’s making a pretty good fist of being ‘different’.
The selection we’re more interested in is 5 After Midnight. They’ll perform Earth, Wind and Fire’s Boogie Wonderland and judging by some of their clunky performances so far this one might get away from them.
If you agree, snap up the 10/1 for 5AM to disappear under the Disco ball.
