After weeks of jockeying for position it appears that the battle for the Glitterball trophy in this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing is between just two contestants.
That’s according to the bookies at least with Jay McGuiness and Georgia May Foote now way ahead of their nearest rivals in the betting.
Are the remaining celebrities just making up the numbers?
We’re back to give you the rundown on the latest from the BBC ballroom…
Leading ladies top the leaderboard but Georgia is the one
Georgia and Giovanni hotfooted their way to the top of the leaderboard with a stunning score of 39 while Helen and Aljaẑ weren’t too far behind having notched a none too shabby 34 points.
But in betting terms these two particular leading ladies are light years apart.
Poor Helen is becoming increasingly friendless having been well-supported in the opening exchanges but she’s not the only one.
Even the uber consistent Peter Andre has been pushed out to 12/1 with this year’s competition now becoming a two-horse race.
Twitter is not happy about Jeremy’s departure
It had to happen at some point and Jeremy Vine has finally succumbed. After weeks of entertaining us with his brand of ultimate dad dancing the Radio 2 presenter was forced to face the music on Sunday night.
Late to news but distraught @theJeremyVine been voted off. British public we’ve messed up – he was going to fly on a guitar in Blackpool!

@theJeremyVine gutted gutted gutted. You should not have been voted out. Thanks for all the entertainment and your hard work. Best wishes.

Fair play to Jamelia though, there aren’t many acts who would survive FOUR dance-offs.
