Aston 10/1 to land a perfect 10 in week two on Strictly

Aston Merrygold is being backed to receive a 10 in just the second week of Strictly Come Dancing, according to the latest odds.

The red-hot 5/2 favourite for the show performs the salsa on Saturday night and punters think he could already be awarded a 10 from a judge at 10/1.

Alexandra Burke is fancied at 4/1 but it’s Debbie McGee who’s the biggest market mover after just one dance and is now the third favourite for glitterball glory at 6/1.

Unfortunately, the time has already come to wave goodbye to the first celebrity and it’s a two-horse race between Brian (2/1) and Simon (5/2) to be axed this weekend.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Aston’s already a hit with Strictly fans and he’s looking hard to beat, although Debbie’s certainly going to give him a run for his money if the first week was anything to go by.”

She added: “Punters are convinced one of the Dad dancers will be leaving first, and it’s proving hard to tear Brian and Simon apart in the betting.”
