Anne Keothavong enjoyed one of the best victories of her year when beating Patty Schnyder, and the Briton can be confident of another upset as she prepares to take on Iveta Benesova.

The two take to the court at 1.05pm on Friday in the BGL Luxembourg Open, and punters will be able to bet in-play thanks to Ladbrokes in-play betting markets.

Benesova made the quarters of the Japanese Open last week, losing to Shahar Peer, and is rightly the 4/7 favourite.

But the two have never faced each other before and that can work in Keothavong’s favour as she looks to take the confidence from her win over Schnyder into Thursday’s match – Keothavong is backable at 5/4 to beat Benesova.

Benesova has been involved in just one three set match in her last nine games and is 6/4 to win 2-0.

An early lead for the Czech will make it hard for Keothavong to force her way back into the match but if the Briton can force an early lead, Benesova has come from behind just once in her past four matches.

Keothavong is 11/4 to win 2-0 but the in-play betting markets may prove profitable in a match-up that will be defined by the early stages.

Ana Ivanovic vs Julia Goerges

Ana Ivanovic is also in action on Friday, taking to the court at 4.35pm to face Julia Goerges, and the Serb is the 2/9 favourite to progress into the semi-finals.

With Ivanovic looking close to recapturing the form that saw her become world number one, it’s difficult to make a case for her German opponent upsetting the odds.

Ivanovic beat Goerges 2-0 on her way to winning in Austria last week and is 8/13 to repeat that performance this afternoon.

Goerges is 3/1 to win and 6/1 to win either 2-0 or 2-1. See the full BGL Luxembourg Open betting odds market here.
