Victoria Azarenka may be one of the stars of the WTA Tour this year but she only earns a 14/1 to win Wimbledon despite being in the easiest quarter of the draw.

It may be because the world number four has to play her old nemesis Daniela Hantuchova on centre court today, and the Slovakian world number 23 has won both of her career clashes with Azarenka.

Hantuchova and Azarenka are two of the four seeds left in the third quarter of the Wimbledon women’s draw, and with Francesca Schiavone and Andrea Petkovic the other two remaining seeds, the winner of this match has a real chance of making the semi-finals.

Which is why Daniela Hantuchova looks a huge price at 40/1 to win Wimbledon and those odds will be cut drastically when she beats Azarenka today.

It’s understandable why Azarenka is the 1/2 favourite for this match but considering Hantuchova is unbeaten against the Belorussian, including a win in Doha earlier in the year, the Slovakian holds all the value at 6/4.

Both of the ties have gone the distance and three sets is a certainty today which leaves the 5/4 for the match to go three sets looking the value of the market.

Surprisingly all of the sets have been won comfortably without a tiebreak in sight, so we like the 15/2 for Hantuchova to lose the first set but win the match.

Francesca Shiavone vs Tamira Paszek

Schiavone will return to Wimbledon today to face the 18-year-old that provided her with plenty of trouble in the first round of Wimbledon in 2008, and Paszek is a real danger to the number six seed today.

The two have met four times and have both won two apiece. Schiavone’s win at Wimbledon makes her the better bet at 8/15 to win, but both of the last two matches have gone three sets and the 6/5 for the match to go the distance looks the pick of the market.
