With the likes of Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Stanislas Wawrinka in action on Thursday, the focus is on the women’s edition of the US Open with a trio of tasty tips to enjoy.

Featuring familiar faces like Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka, we’ve got three tips involving all the matches scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

So sit back, relax, and get ready for some of the best US Open tennis tips on the planet…or something to that effect.

Caroline Wozniacki vs Sara Errani – Errani to win at least one set @ 11/10

While Wozniacki heads into this encounter as the overwhelming favourite for victory having dispatched Maria Sharapova in the last round, Sara Errani could yet surprise, having done exactly that with a 2-1 win over a rejuvenated Venus Williams two rounds ago.

Both come into this encounter off the back of gruelling three-set victories and with their head-to-head record tied at one victory each, Errani is worth backing to pick up at least one set here.

Serena Williams vs Flavia Pennetta – Williams to win first set 6-3 @ 7/2

The reigning champion is expected to make light work of her Italian opponent here but with a straight sets victory only available at odds of 3/10, you could be better served by backing Williams to win the first set 6-3 – she has taken each of her last four sets of tennis by that scoreline!

Victoria Azarenka vs Ekaterina Makarova – Exactly three sets @ 5/4

While Azarenka just edges it in the match betting market with Ladbrokes, the reality is that there is little to choose between the two with the Belarusian winning three of her last four meetings with Makarova only to lose the most recent encounter in Madrid 2-1.

After dropping a set to 21-year-old Serbian Aleksandra Krunic in the last round, this encounter could go all the way again with Makarova no doubt in confident mood after her 2-0 victory over the highly-fancied Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in the last round.
