Celtic’s Moussa Dembele has been rewarded for his stunning form with the Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Month award for September.
The 20-year-old, signed in the summer from Fulham, is a deserving winner following his immediate impact at Parkhead.
The French U21 international can already count 12 goals from 17 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys, but Dembele really came into his own last month.
A sublime hat-trick in the 5-1 win against Rangers saw him enter Celtic folklore, and a brace in the 6-1 thrashing of Kilmarnock saw the Frenchman end September with five goals in the Ladbrokes Premiership.
But his heroics didn’t stop there – with Dembele showing his class via another two goals in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League.
Along with Scott Sinclair, Dembele has proved to be an inspired signing by Brendan Rodgers, and the Bhoys already boast a four-point lead at the top of the table with a game in hand on the chasing pack.
Such has been Dembele’s form, we make him the 5/2 favourite to be the Premiership’s top goalscorer this season.
If he can replicate his September performances, that looks cracking value.
