After each breezing to opening-day wins in the Ladbrokes Premiership, Heart of Midlothian and Celtic face off at Tynecastle on Saturday.
The Hoops are in an intensive run of games, having already played five Champions League qualifying games this season. So – can Hearts capitalise on the visitors’ busy schedule?
Despite a commanding 4-0 victory over Celtic in December 2017, Hearts are as long as 5/1 for victory. It’s the Hoops who won the last two meetings, and they’re 8/15 for another win.
Meanwhile, the Draw is 3/1. And the Double Chance on Hearts is available at odds of 7/5.
Each of the last four meetings have produced four goals or more. It’s 19/10 we see Over 3.5 Goals in Gorgie.
Hearts played a 4-4-2 system at New Douglas Park last weekend and ran out 4-1 winners – though the margin could’ve been greater.
Craig Levein has already had some League Cup success with the front two of Steven MacLean and Uche Ikpeazu. The pair’s combination of wily experience and aerial threat means they’re likely to start up top again.
As for the visitors, Brendan Rodgers has been pretty consistent with his 4-2-3-1 set-up so far this season. Odsonne Edouard is likely to lead the line, with the in-form Tom Rogic behind him.
Behind the Australian, we’re expecting to see the solid and slick duo of Olivier Ntcham and Scott Brown.
French hitman Edouard has been unstoppable in recent months. He’s netted seven times in his last nine outings – including a pair of braces.
The 20-year-old is 19/20 to Score Anytime. That makes him joint-favourite alongside Leigh Griffiths.
Meanwhile, Edouard can be backed to Score 2 Goals or More at 7/2.
The hosts’ best chance of a goal could lie in Ikpeazu at 16/5. The summer buy from Cambridge United has scored three times in as many games.
Meanwhile, winger Steven Naismith is 4/1 to add to his career tally of four goals against the Hoops.
