Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon has received the Ladbrokes Championship Manager of the Month award for November after overseeing a fine run of form.

The Arabs currently find themselves neck-and-neck with table-toppers Hibernian having trailed the Edinburgh side by three points at the beginning of last month.

However, a 4-1 victory over Queen of the South and consecutive wins against Dunfermline Athletic kept up the pressure on the league leaders while a 0-0 draw at Greenock Morton ensured McKinnon’s side went through November unbeaten.

And the Tangerines juggernaut shows no signs of stopping. United have gone on to secure a huge win over Hibs and followed that up with three points against Ayr United and a recent stalemate at Raith Rovers.

That sequence of results will undoubtedly breed a lot of confidence heading into the packed festive programme.

Dundee United host bottom side St. Mirren on Christmas Eve with the Tannadice outfit just 10/21 to chalk up another win.

Then it’s off to Dumbarton on New Year’s Eve before a Championship blockbuster at Easter Road.
