As we steamroll our way through the 2016-17 Ladbrokes SPFL season, a theme is emerging up and down the tables.
Hibernian, Alloa and Forfar have romped off to perfect starts, each already eking out small leads at the top.
Meanwhile eight sides are still in search of their first win of the season.
Let’s get stuck in to this weekend’s action…
Hibernian stand proud with Alloa and Forfar as the only sides in the Ladbrokes SPFL with four wins from four.
That could allow Raith to close the gap, with Rovers hosting Falkirk. The last nine contests between these two have been mightily close, with four draws and five wins by a single-goal margin. So we say get on Gary Locke’s men at 16/5 to win by one.
Ladbrokes League 1
It’s first versus third in League 1 as table-topping Alloa host Livingston, who won both of their visits to Recreation Park last season, scoring three times on each occasion.
With the two sides firing in 28 goals between them already this term, we like the look of over 3.5 goals at 7/4.
It’s second versus fourth too as Brechin welcome Airdrie to Glebe Park. Amazingly the Diamonds have lost only one of their last nine trips to City, and they’re 20/21 Draw No Bet.
Albion host Stenhousemuir with both sides seeking a first win of the season. With Rovers winning only three home games in 2016 and Stenny doing the same on their travels, we’re backing a draw at 27/10.
Ladbrokes League 2
Forfar already hold a four point lead at the top, but that could be trimmed when they head to Annan. The Galabankies have a 100 per cent home record this term, and are 21/20 to maintain that on Saturday.
Third-place Clyde welcome second-placed Arbroath to Broadwood Stadium, and with away sides winning all four of last season’s meetings, it could be worth backing the Red Lichties at 2/1.
Having lost just one of their last seven against Berwick, Elgin could be popular for victory at 17/10 away at the Borderers, while Montrose are 11/8 in their first league meeting with Cowdenbeath for over seven years.
Finally, Edinburgh City go in search of their first Ladbrokes SPFL point at Stirling Albion, and 3/2 says the newbies Win or Draw.
