The 2015 Six Nations has been even tighter than rugby fans could have hoped ahead of the autumn’s World Cup, and (technically) four teams can still take the title.

Here are a just a few ways the tournament could end up profitable for punters.

6nations-permutations (2)

England

Stuart Lancaster’s boys will have their work cut out for them at least, with Wales up first in Italy and Ireland faced with Scotland before England host France at Twickenham.

They’re 4/6 to win their first title since 2011, but need Vern Cotter’s men to keep it tight against the holders at Murrayfield as France aren’t likely to roll over for their fierce rivals.

Ireland

The reigning Six Nations champions lost 12-8 on their last visit to Edinburgh two years ago, but they’ve beaten Scotland by at least 18 points in each of their past couple of clashes in Dublin.

At 7/4, Joe Schmidt’s side certainly aren’t a bad bet to overturn England’s hardly insurmountable four-point deficit against a team who’ve lost four out of four games so far in the campaign.

Wales

Warren Gatland’s Dragons beat Scotland 51-3 at the Millennium Stadium in their final game of the 2014 Six Nations campaign, so making up a 25-point deficit on England in Italy isn’t beyond them.

The 6/1 on offer about a third Wales championship win in four years suggests they’ll come up short though, and Ireland and England will have a good idea of the points they’ll have to shoot for after the Olympic Stadium clash, so this looks tough.

France

It will take a few unforeseeable results for Philippe Saint-Andre’s imbalanced outfit to land 500/1 championship odds.

France not only need to beat England at Twickenham in the Six Nations for the first time in a decade, but also require Ireland to lose in Scotland and Wales to lose in France, plus points swings in their favour.
