WALES ARE the odds-on favourite for the Triple Crown heading in to Saturday’s match at Twickenham, according to Ladbrokes.

Some of the Welsh squad weren’t even born the last time Wales were three-point handicap favourites in 1984 but nearly 30 years later Warren Gatland’s side will be feeling confident as the match and triple crown favourites (4/6) with England quoted at 5/4 on home turf. The draw can be backed at 20/1.

Wales also remain the 2/1 favourites for the Grand Slam, which would trigger a six-figure pay-out to punters, however at 5/4 the firm will be hoping for no slam.

Owen Farrell will be looking to make an impact at fly-half and it’s 7/2 he’ll score all of England’s points and it’s 7/4 the number 10 has a 100 per cent success rate kicking at goal.

The inclusion of Manu Tuilagi earns him a quote of 4/1 to score a try at any time during the match or 14/1 to score first. The firm will also refund losing 1st try scorer bets if your player makes it over the line second.

Nick Mallett is now the even money favourite to become the next permanent manager of England with current boss Stuart Lancaster drifting out to 5/4.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “For once we’ll be patriotic and cheering on England as the underdogs. Wales are in fine form but England’s new look side still have a lot to prove.”
