KATE MIDDLETON and Prince William are 10/1 to name their puppy Charles, according to Ladbrokes.

The pitter patter of a puppy’s paws can be heard in the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Anglesey home and it’s 10/1 their cocker spaniel is named Charles in honour of William’s father or Philip (16/1) after the Duke of Edinburgh.

With the big freeze around the corner it’s just even money that the puppy is pictured wearing a dog coat whilst out on a walk with Kate, and it’s also 6/1 that the down to earth Princess is spotted ‘poop-a-scooping’ this year.

The cocker spaniel is 5/1 to be given the royal seal of approval and take part in the annual Boxing Day pheasant shoot at Sandringham and there’s a 33/1 chance the puppy becomes a star in its own right an appears in an advert for ‘Royal Canin’ dog food.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters are barking mad over puppy names. It looks like it won’t be long before the dog becomes as famous as Kate and Wills.”
