Arsenal have been backed by Ladbrokes’ social media followers to keep up a habit of a lifetime and hold on to a Champions League qualification spot, but only just.

Arsene Wengers’ men currently occupy third place in the table but with most assuming Manchester City will get back in front of their points tally by winning their game in hand, it could be the Gunners that are scrapping for the final spot.

At odds of 1/12 the bookies certainly think they will keep it, as do the Twitter masses.

In Ladbrokes’ latest poll we put it to you to tell us who will finish fourth in the Premier League this season, it was far from clear cut.

Here’s the final result…

While the north London outfit did just secure enough votes to come out on top, it was capital rivals West Ham that ran them close.

Slaven Bilic’s men are just three points off the top-four and with four straight wins in all competitions, look to be hitting top form at just the right time.

With the Hammers attaining the second highest number of votes, it could be said that there is value in the 8/1 that they are pitting their wits against the Barcelonas of this world next season.

It was even closer to determine who would pick up the wooden spoon in our poll, but in the end that honour (if you like) went to Louis van Gaal and Manchester United.

The Red Devils looked to have found their rhythm with a victory against rivals Arsenal preceding a win over Watford, but defeat to West Brom at the weekend brought them back down to earth with a bump.

They limped home in fourth place with Liverpool pipping them to bronze in our poll as they seek to come home in the first four for the second time in three years.

Odds of 6/1 suggest that all hope is not lost just yet, but according to those who voted, there are two sides far more likely to make that spot their own.

All odds and markets correct as of the date of publishing.
