Poll: Will Leicester’s form tail off? Or are they title contenders?

Some still state that it has to come to an end sooner or later, but Leicester City’s excellent start to the campaign continued in full flow at the weekend.

The Foxes may have seen Jamie Vardy’s scoring form run out of steam, but with a victory over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium, Claudio Ranieri’s men ascended back to the top of the Premier League.

Results elsewhere would have also been a sight to behold for fans of the east Midlands outfit, with both Manchester City and Liverpool falling to defeats while Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by West Ham.

Nevertheless, despite their two point lead at the summit of the table, Leicester remain 28/1 shots to lift the title in May and win the league title for the first time in their history.

Available to back at 5000/1 at the start of the campaign, a pursuit of the Premier League trophy has been aided by nine wins from their 15 matches so far.

Their manager may still believe that they are not yet challengers for the outright win, but continue this form and you would be hard pressed to believe that City cannot qualify for Europe.

Just twice in the last 16 seasons has the side top of the league after 15 games failed to finish in the top two, while you have to go back to the 1998-99 season for the last time a top four finish wasn’t achieved by the team top that this stage.

After the start they have made anything less than a top six finish would probably come as somewhat of a disappointment for Foxes fans, but should they slide any further and not even adorn the top half come the end of the term, it would be a relative disaster.

Their recent performances suggest that will not happen and Ranieri’s men will continue to show the rest of the division that their excellent season is set to continue for a little while yet.

But how high do you think they can finish? Vote now in today’s poll and tell us just where Leicester will be come the end of the season.
