Arsenal are never too far away from a good old transfer rumour, but this week the north London club have been linked with the best of the best.
Stories are abound in the press today that Lionel Messi (really) wants to leave Barcelona and head to Arsene Wenger’s Gunners.
Messi has run in to trouble with the tax authorities in Spain and although Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with the four-time Champions League winner, it appears the Argentine would prefer a move to Arsenal.
Wenger has shown in the past with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil that he is not afraid to bring marquee names to the club, but Messi’s wage demands may be something else entirely.
The 28-year-old would reportedly cost Arsenal £600k a week, and some quick maths brings that to around £28m a year before tax.
So our poll today is simple, we want Arsenal fans, we want Premier League fans, and we want football fans to tell us, should Arsene Wenger sign Lionel Messi at Arsenal?
