With the EU Referendum now just weeks away the stakes are rising and both sides are doing their utmost to be heard.

There were no issues in that department for Iain Duncan Smith last night with the Conservative MP making his thoughts perfectly clear at the Ladbrokes Brexit Business Debate.

Speaking at the Institute of Directors (IoD) in central London the former work and pensions secretary was quick to launch into a passionate attack on EU ‘bureaucracy’.

He told the assembled crowd of politicians and journalists that the ‘European marketplace is not a free market’, while emphasising his opinions on how the EU is not interested in doing a deal with the UK on trade in financial services.
