World Smile Day: Who makes our list of smiling sport stars?

It’s World Smile Day! While many of us will be twiddling our thumbs waiting for the England game to start on Saturday evening, we thought we’d cheer you all up by compiling a list of five of the best smiles in sport.

And what better place to start than with everyone’s favourite German?

Jurgen Klopp

Top scorers in the Premier League, two cup finals last year and mounting a title challenge this time out, Klopp certainly has a lot to smile about at Liverpool.

Just look at that beam. It’s like a ray of sunshine on a winter’s day.

Chris Kamara

It’s no surprise that one of Ladbrokes’ very own made the list, and it’s easy to see why…

Here he is, showing off his gnashers.

Usain Bolt

He has one of the most recognisable faces on the planet. No wonder he’s found the perfect pose then, as this picture shows…

In fact, he loves smiling that much, he even found the time to pull out a signature grin mid-race back at this year’s Olympics. Unbelievable.

Daniel Ricciardo

There are certain faces that just cheer you up, whatever mood you’re in. And Formula One race driver Daniel Ricciardo certainly has one of them…

Probably the happiest man ever to have stepped foot in an F1 car, we had to make room for Ricciardo here.

And finally…

How can we leave out this happy fella? The aptly named Charismatic, winner of the 1999 Kentucky Derby.

That’s one happy horse.

Enjoy your weekend, folks. And even if you don’t, at least try to smile…
