The race for the Christmas number 1 spot has long caught the imagination and this year is no different. However, few of us could have predicted how the battle lines would be drawn between fans of Rangers and Little Mix.
In fact, the whole bust-up has produced one of the most hilarious Twitter spats you’ll ever see.
In case you’ve missed it, here’s a bit of background information:
- Girl band Little Mix are bidding for a festive number one with their song Touch. However, on the other side of the fence, fans of the Ladbrokes Premiership heavyweights are trying to get the Dave Clark Five smash hit Glad All Over to the top of the tree, in honour of striker Joe Garner.
This is how things currently stand. It’s fair to say the Gers are having the best of it right now.
Now you’re up to speed, check out the best of the reaction, starting with some well-deserved appreciation…
There’s a GENUINE feud on Twitter between fans of Little Mix and Glasgow Rangers. Social media has peaked. It won’t get better

Yep, Rangers v Little Mix. It’s a thing.

Ha, remember Directioners v Gabby Agbonlahor? We think Gers v Mixers has probably topped it.
Little Mix fans v Rangers fans is hardly One Direction fans v Gabby Agbonlahor.

Wrong song mate but we get the sentiment.
Garner’s on fire.
Little mix fans are terrified.

Or we can do this the other way round?
Little mix on fire ?
The Rangers fans are terrified

In case you’re unaware, ‘pump’ is slang north of the border. And no, it doesn’t mean what you think it does.
Rangers would pump Little Mix

You’ve got some work to do, Mixers.

Little Mix are to hang blow-up doll effigies of Rangers fans from the stage at their next concert. Personally, I consider this a hate crime.

We helped settle this important debate.

And these were some of the responses…
