The NFL regular season rolls into its second Sunday with a few bruised egos, and rib cages, after the opening round of fixtures.
We fancy some of the embarrassment to continue in our Gridiron acca, which will pay out at over 30/1 if the required business is done.
Minnesota Vikings +3 to beat New England Patriots @ 20/23
Few people saw the Patriots 33-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins coming, and legendary quarterback Tom Brady may still not know what day it is having been repeatedly sacked in Florida.
They’re on the road for the second week running against the Vikings, who look a great price for a handicap win after taking the Rams apart in St Louis 34-6 last time out.
Houston Texans -3 to beat Oakland Raiders @ 1/1
The Texans are another outfit to side with on opening-day form, having seen off the Washington Redskins comprehensively 17-6, thanks in large part to J.J Watt’s tough-as-teak defensive display.
Ryan Fitzpatrick and co should have enough in their armoury to stay well ahead in California, against a Raiders side currently priced up as the 300/1 rank outsiders to win Super Bowl XLIX.
Atlanta Falcons +5 to beat Cincinnati Bengals @ 20/21
The Falcons will go into this game on a tremendous high, having beaten NFC South Division favourites New Orleans Saints in their first fixture of the campaign.
Cincinnati are deserved favourites after turning over last year’s Super Bowl losers Baltimore Ravens 23-16, but this should be closer than expected.
New Orleans Saints to beat Cleveland Browns by 1-6 points @ 7/2
As aforementioned, the 12/1 joint fifth-favourites in the Super Bowl betting suffered a sluggish start in Atlanta, going down to defeat in overtime by three points.
They’re travelling again on gameday two, this time to a Cleveland side who lost few fans in a 30-27 defeat at Pittsburgh first time out, so expect another tight clash here.
