Aaron Rodgers’ candidacy to be this season’s MVP is strong, with impressive numbers of 32 touchdowns and just three interceptions making him the clear favourite for the award.

When his Green Bay Packers host the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, the 31-year-old will have the chance to put to bed completely any doubt over who the league’s most valuable player is.

During his career against the Falcons, the Californian has thrown for at least 300 yards each time, with nine touchdowns and just a single interception on his record.

Rodgers has been domineering at home this season too and is yet to give up an interception from 182 attempts, while completing 20 touchdown passes.

If all that evidence wasn’t enough to get you backing the 10/11 on Rodgers throwing over 320.5 yards in his latest battle with Atlanta, then the visitors’ record against the pass this season should seal the deal.

The Falcons own the league’s worst defence against the thrown ball, allowing 284.9 yards per outing, over 17 yards more than their nearest rival.

As you would imagine with such an effective quarterback to play with, the Green Bay receivers are enjoying going to work this season, with Jordy Nelson perhaps the most cheerful.

The seven-season veteran leads the Packers with 10 receiving touchdowns this term, four of which have come in his last four outings. 7/2 says the Kansas native gets the hosts’ scoring underway at Lambeau Field.

Heading into the game the Packers have won eight of their last nine and own a perfect six-game record in their own stadium.

The Falcons arrive having won three of their last four but have dropped three straight against their entertainers, making them 5/1 outsiders to win against the Packers’ 1/7 price.
