A galaxy of stars are set to appear this weekend with the best of the National Hunt action coming from Aintree and Sandown.
Quite simply, there’s something for everyone with the gruelling Becher Chase slog, thrilling Tingle Creek and a few tasty handicap hurdle contests to look forward to.
But in amongst this plethora of quality racing, where does the value lie?
We’ve cast our eye through the Channel 4 card to select our best bets for Saturday…
He’s untameable, brilliant, thrilling, unpredictable and enigmatic. But that’s why we love him and are prepared to put our money down to back Un De Sceaux.
Forget the Douvan declaration soap opera, now it’s time to focus your thoughts firmly on UDS.
At his best there’s nothing in this year’s Tingle Creek that will get near Willie Mullins’ star with the Gary Moore pair of Ar Mad and dual-winner Sire De Grugy likely to be the nearest challengers.
However, they’re not going to get close to the runaway express that’s set to steal the show.
Nicky Henderson is no stranger to success in this race having won two of the last three runnings and the Seven Barrows handler has got a great chance of enhancing that record with Hunters Hoof.
The son of Flemensfirth has found life tough going recently but he’s back to the winning mark that saw him notch a course a distance victory in October 2015.
Expect this trip to Merseyside to bring out the best in the seven-year-old.
Our initial Becher longshot was Gas Line Boy but with Ian Williams’ charge now scratched we’ve had to change tack slightly.
Thankfully, there’s still shedloads of each-way value to be had in this contest and our replacement tip is by no means a second-string equivalent.
Irish raider Sizing Coal may not enjoy the advantage of having had a look at the famous Aintree fences before.
But he does tick a lot of other boxes. The eight-year-old is in that magical bracket of being rated between 130 and 139 and has good pedigree when it comes to long slogs having finished third in last year’s Irish Grand National.
And with nine of the previous 10 winners finishing in the first five on their last completed start (Sizing Coal scored at Sligo last time out) our pick has plenty of positives in his favour.
