There is one huge favourite across the tipster board today and that is the odds-on chance Hunter Forward in the 15:10 at Haydock.

Six tipsters are napping the 4/6 favourite today but five of them are in negative figures for a £1 stake this year and it may be worth opposing Hunter Forward today.

Having won at Sandown eight days ago Luca Cumani’s five-year-old is under a 4lb penalty and Reset To Fit may be the one to upset the odds at Haydock today.

So rather than focus on the odds-on runner, we’re focusing on Martin Chuzzlewit who has been napped by three tipsters today, two of whom are providing a return of over £10 for a £1 stake this year and the other is looking for a third winner in a row.

18:45 Sandown: Martin Chuzzlewit – 6/4

Having already been backed in from 15/8 to 6/4 this morning, both the punters and the pundits believe they have found a good thing in Sir Michael Stoute’s two-year-old.

Owned by Sir Robert Ogden, Martin Chuzzlewit will be making just his second start following a fifth-place finish in a decent maiden at Newbury in July but as Ogden paid €420,000 for the horse, plenty more is expected to come.

With a Derby entry to his name Martin Chuzzlewit needs to start performing to enhance his credentials of next year’s Derby and he can do this in today’s Class 5 1m maiden stakes.

Challenges will come from Cavaleiro and Swing Alone but Stoute holds an impressive 23% strike rate at this course and we can begin believing the hype when Martin Chuzzelwit wins today.

At 8/1 Swing Alone is a huge each-way price following up a fifth in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot with a third place finish at Yarmouth, but the best bet is to follow the money on Martin Chuzzelwit.
