Lily In Pink is in Bath ahead of today’s challenge.

While that image would conjure up pleasant images in most punters’ heads, you’ll have to settle for the colours of Miss Sarah Lloyd storming to success in the Class 5 handicap at Bath racecourse later today.

Lloyd’s horse Lily In Pink, is currently trading as the 4/1 joint-second favourite for today’s race but the experts think the favourite, One Lucky Lady, will be turned over today.

Both Garry Owen of the Daily Record and Paul Castles of the Birmingham Mail are strong performers in the Racing Post naps competition and are both returning a positive return for their selections this year.

Only three of the 50 tipsters have focused on the 15:40 at Bath and Wise Owl of the Belfast Newsletter has gone for the favourite, but considering his naps are costing his followers £30.56 for a £1 stake , the advantage is with Lily In Pink.

15:40 Bath: Lily In Pink – 4/1

The withdrawl of Effervesce has opened this race right out but the favourite, One Luck Lady, comes into this race of the back of a course and distance win last time out.

Lily In Pink is making just her fourth start but has been given a stiff mark by the handicapper considering she enters this race 2lbs higher than the favourite despite being yet to win a race.

This 1m3½f trip should be no problem for Lily In Pink having raced over 1m2f and 1m4f so far in her career, but the weight is a worry.

The favourite has never shown the class to suggest she can win two races on the bounce and so we’re going against the pundits and tipping Undulant Way (7/1) today.

Trainer Amanda Pettett is having a decent season and Pat Dobbs is one of the stronger jockeys to follow this season in the field, and having won over this distance looks a very strong bet today.
