Rene’s Girl – 1.45

She’s had a good season and comes to Aintree in as good as form as I can have her. I just hope the rain stays away.

If it is good to soft ground, I think she is a real big player. She is progressive, jumps well, the trip is perfect, and the track is ideal.

Nube Negra – 2.20

He had a great run at the Cheltenham Festival, the ground was just a little dead for him.

I’m not saying we had that many excuses for him on the day but he just got outrun by a horse with a bit more speed.

I think Aintree is going to suit him and he comes here with a solid chance.

Savello – 4.40

Bridget Andrews rides him. He has got some good old form but it’s not been there recently. Why he ran so badly last time, we don’t really know.

We’ve put the cheekpieces on and he’s only got ten stone. He seems in good form and his coat is improving for the spring so maybe he has a little each-way chance.
