Ladbrokes News enjoyed a fairly fruitful Breeders’ Cup, with Zagora the clear highlight in the Filly & Mare Turf.

British challenger and favourite The Fugue was a shade unlucky, but Zagora ran on to triumph and we were positive around her chances at 16/1.

Groupie Doll was another success story in the Breeders’ Cup Fillies and Mares’ Sprint and was sent off odds-on, but we tipped her at 1/1.

Elsewhere, we were correct that Sky Lantern would be well out of it in the Juvenile Fillies’ Turf, although the race did celebrate its first ever European winner with the French-trained Flotilla.

Our Breeders’ Cup King of Stats column also did its bit with Capo Bastone continuing the strong run of results of stall seven in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, which has now provided a top-three finisher in five straight years.

Capo Bastone was first highlighted at 14/1, but had shortened by the time he was entering the stalls and with good reason, as he finished third to reward each-way punters.

With the National Hunt season now in full flow, numerous more tips will appear on the website, so keep your eyes peeled.
