The draw for the 2017 edition of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket was made at 10:30 on Wednesday 1 February.

Ladbrokes’ Mark Sullivan was joined by the Racing Post’s Jonathan Hobbs and Racing Manager Danny Rayment to conduct the ceremony ahead of the first Category 1 event of the year.

And once again, we brought the draw to you LIVE from Crayford Stadium.

Patchys Kerry justified antepost support and took the title for Mark Wallis in 2016 and the trainer is well-represented again this year.

His Great North Run winner Rubys Rascal is currently 7/1 in the antepost betting with kennelmate and recent Prestige winner Rubys Razzle not far behind at 8/1.

However, Irish raider Jaytee Patriot (6/1) is the one punters have latched onto with the market leader’s price collapsing in the build-up to this year’s competition.

Elsewhere, Russelena Reggie (16/1) looks a lively outsider following his facile success in a trial contest.

Here’s how the draw unfolded…
