The 2014 PGA Championship travels back to the scene of the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky as we offer up three selections with sumptuous odds who could spring a surprise on the likes of Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott.

Marc Leishman 100/1

The Australian is enjoying a cracking year on the PGA Tour where hes already exceeded his best previous seasonal earnings to the tune of nearly half a million US dollars, with some months still remaining.

Leishman has turned in five top-10s on the season, including four top fives and most importantly hes hit a current vein of form, culminating in tied fifth at The Open.

That makes it 11,8, Cut, 5th from his last four starts. Leishman is solid in every department and tied for 12th in this major in 2013.

Brendon Todd 125/1

Todd is the only American among our trio, but one who has been pulling up trees on the PGA Tour, where hes already locked down his first win when scooping the Byron Nelson in May.

Since that point Todd has not stalled one iota, compiling four more top-10 finishes while posting 17th at the US Open (his first major) and 39th at The Open, his first ever crack at the links-based slam.

Todds accurate off the tee and possesses a deft touch on the greens, where he ranks ninth in sand saves and most importantly third in strokes-gained putting.

Miguel Angel Jimenez 150/1

The Cigar-chugging Spaniard completes our line-up and not because of any sensational form although he did just post an eighth-place at the Senior Open Championship but because of the venue.

Jimenez was part of Europes Ryder Cup team six years ago, where he gave a good account of himself on a course he had previously played back in 2000, the last time the PGA Championship was held there.

In the top-10 after 18 holes, a sloppy second round harmed his chances back then, but course experience over much of the field will be real bonus for the man with two European Tour wins and a fourth at the Masters on his seasonal CV.
