Albeit a dead heat trimmed a little off the winnings from our day one Masters treble, the pressure is on to roll another profitable multiple into the cup ahead of Friday’s action from Augusta National.

On day two the personnel stay the same across all the 3-balls and here are a triad of players we envisage having a good time of it out among the pine trees and ponds.

15:19 John Senden to beat Luke Donald and Victor Dubuisson @ 2/1

Two-time PGA Tour winner Senden is one of those seasoned pros who seem to have grown better with age and prior finishes of 35th and eighth at Augusta after struggling early in his career back this up.

Senden lies tied for 18th heading into Friday, four shots in front of Donald – whose own career is going in reverse having missed the cut last year – and three ahead of Dubuisson who also fell foul of the midway cull in his only previous appearance last season.

17:31 Lee Westwood to beat Miguel Angel Jimenez and Anirban Lahiri @ 5/6

With four top 10s (and an 11th) on his last five visits to Augusta, few players are more at ease with the rigours than the old Westy.

His worst individual score in that time is a 74, and having laboured a little to make 73 yesterday, birdies at 14 and 15 promised of better to come on day two.

Lahiri played very well on debut to finish one under, but Jimenez had a stinker and starts at +6.

17:53 Adam Scott to beat Dustin Johnson and Antonio Murcuda @ 11/10

This is very much a two-horse race with amateur player Murcuda shooting a 78 on debut needing a virtual miracle to defeat two of the game’s biggest names and hitters.

It is 1-0 to DJ at this point as the American shot a two-under-par 70 to Scott’s 72, but the 2013 champion has plenty more in his locker besides that Green Jacket.

Scott has shot under par in three of his last four Friday rounds at Augusta, while Johnson has only broken par once in the same amount of visits on the second day, shooting 74 and 76 latterly.
