With little under a week to go until the 2018 Masters gets underway at the Augusta National, Justin Rose has emerged as the most popular pick with punters.
The 14/1 shot has seen the largest amount of individual wagers placed on him to emerge as this year’s winner at Augusta. He’ll be out to make up for losing in a play-off to Sergio Garcia 12 months ago.
Should Rose win his second major, he would become only the second Englishman to put on the famous Green Jacket since Nick Faldo did so for the third time in 1996.
However, he’ll face stiff competition when the four-day event tees off on Thursday.
Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth are joint-favourites going into the tournament at 10/1 apiece.
They’re followed by Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson at 12/1, although the latter of the pair is completely friendless in the market after a poor run of form.
Tiger Woods could prove to be the main danger at 16/1.
The four-time Masters winner is back on form.
He recorded an impressive T2 finish in the Valspar Championship behind Paul Casey (25/1) before finishing T5 in the Arnold Palmer Invitational in his last appearance.
Woods hasn’t won here since 2005. But the 42-year-old is on the comeback trail and cannot be taken lightly.
Tommy Fleetwood, who won the Abu Dhabi Championship at the start of the year, is an outside punt at 40/1.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters are clearly hoping Rose can go one better than last year at Augusta, but they’re also loving the resurgence of Tiger. A win for either player would cost the bookies dearly.”
