There’s money to be had from our latest GAA Super Bonus Accumulator with Clare, Derry, Dublin and Laois all backed to win at 4/1 with Ladbrokes.
Laois to beat Carlow @ 1/3
Laois have enjoyed an excellent year so far and impressed last time out with a six-point victory over Antrim.
Stephen Maher has taken away some of the scoring burden from Willie Hyland, and Cahir Healy now concentrating full time of hurling has been a huge boost.
Carlow’s Craig Doyle may be fresh from scoring a hat-trick against London, but Laois may have too much strength for John Meyler’s charges.
Clare to beat Waterford @ 4/7
Clare have named eight of last years All Ireland U21 winning team in their XV as Davy Fitzgerald looks to translate their recent underage success to senior level.
Waterford have suffered their fair share of retirements and withdrawals this term but put up an impressive show in the League, with newcomer Jake Dillon among the pick of the bunch.
The Deise’s lack of firepower though could be their downfall against the fast improving Bannermen.
Dublin to beat Westmeath @ 1/10
The All Ireland favourites have been in superb form thus far after picking up their first National League title in 20 years.
Westmeath are full of confidence too though after promotion to Division One and their easy dismissal of Carlow in the previous round.
John Heslin and David Duffy will do their best in midfield but with the likes of Bernard Brogan and Paul Mannion in excellent form up front it’s hard to see past a Dublin victory.
Derry to beat Down @ 4/5
Brian McIvor has worked wonders with Derry this year, introducing numerous young players and winning promotion to Division One.
Down meanwhile finished bottom in the top flight, after failing to find their best form during a season punctuated by continued injury problems within the panel.
The 2010 All Ireland final seems a long time ago for the Mourne men and Derry look better equipped to advance to the Ulster semi final.
