After yet another domineering victory in Abu Dhabi for Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel, Ladbrokes have issued the German odds of 4/6 to extend his winning streak to nine by taking the final two races of the season.

Vettel remains very much on course to equal two F1 records before the season’s end following a seventh straight Grand Prix victory, where he led from the first to the last lap in Abu Dhabi.

That represented his 11th win overall for the season, falling just two shy of his hero Michael Schumacher’s record of 13 in a single campaign, and two short of Alberto Ascari’s long-standing benchmark of nine consecutive Grand Prix wins.

And in light of yet another race in the F1 calendar being reduced to little more than another Vettel procession; it’s no surprise to see Ladbrokes slash the champion’s odds to 4/6 to take the chequered flag in the remaining USA and Brazilian Grand Prix.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters are still looking for an alternative to Vettel, so another easy win for the Red Bull driver suits the firm nicely.”

Considering Vettel will be chasing two different records this looks a decent bet.

On its return to the F1 calendar last year, the four-time world champion qualified on pole at the USA Grand Prix in Texas, before losing out by 0.6 seconds in a thrilling finish to Lewis Hamilton, while he’s won and come runner-up at Interlagos within the last three seasons.

With the Red Bull’s pace so strong in the desert too – as team-mate Mark Webber took second spot – Ladbrokes are also offering 5/2 that there is a Red Bull one/two in both the last two races as well.

Meanwhile, the firm offer 5/1 that Vettel goes on to claim seven+ Drivers’ Championship titles in his career and 10/1 says the German wins 91+ Grand Prix in his career.
