Monaco has become something of a haven for Formula One drivers used to playing second fiddle to their teammates in recent years.
Nico Rosberg, so often outshone by Lewis Hamilton, has topped the podium in both of the past two seasons.
Before that, Mark Webber beat his Red Bull colleague Sebastien Vettel to first place in two of the three previous years, although the German driver did also grab one win himself.
However, this season there will be no such underdog triumph, with Hamilton securing pole position and likely the top of the podium with it.
For those who fancy slightly better odds than the Hamilton win provides, back the 4/9 dual forecast with his teammate coming second.
Nine of the past 10 races in the principality have been won by the driver who started first on the grid, and the only man to buck that trend was Hamilton himself in 2008.
Overtaking is notoriously difficult on the famous street circuit. Couple that with the British driver’s superior race pace and it’s a set of ingredients with only one possible serving suggestion, a Hamilton win.
The Stevenage-born superstar has already picked up three wins in the five races so far this season, and will be hoping to extend his 20-point lead over his teammate in the overall standings.
A more intriguing option for punters seeking a longshot is to back Kimi Raikkonen to set the fastest lap of the race at 7/1.
The Ice Man not only achieved the feat during last season’s race, but was second to Sebastien Vettel the year before, suggesting he knows the Monaco circuit very well indeed.
Furthermore, only one man – the imperious Michael Schumacher – has set more fastest laps in Formula One history than Raikkonen’s 41.
