The Weekly Acca: Middlesbrough the cornerstone of our big one

Halloween might be upon us, but we are hoping for as few frights as possible as we set our sights on a spine-tinglingly-huge accumulator win this weekend.

We’ve perused the top four flights in English football as well as some of the biggest European leagues to pick you out a five-fold that will leave your mates green with envy, returning a handsome price of 26/1.

Of course, with any major European acca there is room for manoeuvre with Ladbrokes’ fantastic money back offer that has you covered.

If one side lets you down in any five-fold or bigger, you will get your money back as a free bet! You can find all the T&Cs here.

Here’s who we have plumped for…

Arsenal to beat Swansea @ 8/11

The Gunners may have suffered in midweek, facing a Capital One Cup exit and injuries hurting their squad, but in the Premier League they are flying.

Arsene Wenger’s men have won their last four in the league, scoring 13 goals and should have more than enough to see off a Swansea outfit that have just a win against bottom-side Aston Villa to their name in six matches.

Middlesbrough to beat Charlton @ 2/5

The cornerstone of our acca, this one picks itself. Aitor Karanka’s men have conceded just two goals in their last seven games at the Riverside Stadium this term, winning five.

Charlton on the flip side have lost their last five on the road in all competitions and haven’t won away from the Valley since March. That run is set to continue here.

Scunthorpe to beat Barnsley @ 23/20

The Tykes have knocked Scunny out of both the Capital One Cup and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy this term, so revenge will be on the Iron’s mind.

The hosts are the form side in League One picking up more points than anyone else this month with four wins from five, while Barnsley have so far drawn a blank with five straight defeats.

Mansfield to beat Wycombe @ 6/4

For a side that came so close to achieving promotion last term, Wycombe’s recent form has been woeful. A Paul Hayes injury-time equaliser against Carlisle was all that prevented the Chairboys losing five straight matches.

Their hosts have won four of their last six and tasted their only home defeat this term at the hands of Bristol Rovers and a 98th minute winner.

Villarreal to beat Sevilla @ 6/5

The late kick-off that we are hoping will round off this big win. Sevilla have been strutting their stuff in the Champions League but they have had little to smile about on their travels domestically.

Unai Emery’s side haven’t won all season away from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and with Villarreal winning seven of their last eight matches in front of their own fans, this could be the cherry on top of our acca.
