This week will see people across the UK delve into pastry parcels of delight as they celebrate British Pie Week.
Chefs up and down the country will be going all out to bake the best pie but die hard football fans know there is only one place to go to get the proper pie experience and that is the stadium.
The argument about which of the British clubs does the best pie has rumbled on for decades but we’re looking to put the age old question to bed once and for all with our latest poll.
Cast your vote (using the poll below) and leave your comments if you want to make sure that the pie you love gets the credit it deserves.
Three clubs in particular have shone in recent years, with West Brom, Morecambe and Fulham all having their pies rated Gold, Silver or Bronze by the British Pie Awards.
Morecambe in particular look to have excelled in their field with no fewer than six pies honoured at last year’s awards.
Their Bramley Apple, Ham & Leek and Potato & Meat entries all received the Gold standard award, while their Apple, Blackberry & Elderflower (very posh!), Beef Steak & Ale and Quorn & Pepper efforts all rated in the Bronze category.
Fulham earned Silver recognition for their own take on the Steak& Ale in 2014 and Albion took first, second and third in 2013 with their Steak & Blue Cheese, Steak in Ale with Mushrooms, and Butternut Squash & Spicy Vegetable hospitality pies.
As such, the Baggies, the Shrimps and the Cottagers get the nod and after much deliberation in the Ladbrokes News office they are joined by Liverpool and Burnley.
So if any of these five clubs get your vote simply click the relevant option below, but if you feel we’ve made a glaring error click other and lets us know in the comments section.
