Having landed Alexandre Lacazette for a club-record fee, it’s more likely than ever that Arsenal will now sell Olivier Giroud.
But where will the Frenchman go?
He’s got fans and critics in equal measure, but having hit double figures in each of his five seasons with the Gunners, the 30-year-old isn’t short of potential suitors.
Everton and West Ham United have both been frequently linked with the French international, but a return home could be on the cards.
The Toffees may lead the way at Evens, but having splashed the cash on several players already this summer, have they got room for Giroud?
It seems likely they’ll also be welcoming Wayne Rooney back to Goodison Park too in the near future, so it remains to be seen if they’ll still pursue the Arsenal striker as well.
So if not Everton, then Marseille look excellently priced at 5/2.
The French side are looking to make a concerted effort to challenge in Ligue 1 next season and beyond, and are set for a busy summer.
Giroud fired in 21 goals during his final campaign across the channel with Montpellier, and a similar return would surely serve Marseille well.
There’s also a couple or arguments to support a move to West Ham at 6s.
A switch to the Hammers would mean Giroud doesn’t have to up sticks and move, and he would be guaranteed plenty of game time at the London Stadium.
Granted, European football is unlikely but their seventh place finish two seasons ago is a reminder of what the Irons can achieve.
