Should Carlos Tevez lift the FA Cup aloft on Saturday, it could be the Argentine striker’s final contribution in a Manchester City shirt.
Tevez is 4/6 to leave Manchester City in the summer and while Manchester City fans will hope the 11/10 for Tevez to stay is the best value of the season, it seems the Argentine is on his way out.
After handing a transfer request to the Manchester City board in December, Tevez was convinced to stay by Roberto Mancini and a hefty pay rise but it seems the money was just a short term solution with plenty of punters expecting Tevez to leave.
Quite whisperings were circulating around Manchester City as far back as the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at the start of April, and those whispers have now turned into a very strong rumour with plenty of money on Tevez leaving.
Having secured a Champions League spot next season, Saturday represents a chance for Manchester City to end a 35-year wait for silverware and Tevez is 2/5 to lift the trophy on Saturday.
There are three remaining games left in Manchester City’s season and as Mancini’s men are 9/2 to finish third, it seems unlikely that Tevez will play his final game on Saturday as Mancini looks to overhaul Arsenal.
Even so, bowing out with a trophy would soften the blow for Manchester City fans and the diminutive striker is 25/1 to score a hat-trick against Stoke and confirm his spot in the Manchester City archives.
Following his sides win against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night Manicini suggested that Tevez’s spot in the FA Cup starting eleven isn’t guaranteed, but the market prices Tevez at 2/5 to start the game.
The only worry for Mancini is a lack of game time but it’s unlikely the Italian will want to be without his talisman for a cup final.
A £10 stake on Tevez not making the starting line-up would return £27.50. New customers can sign up here to take advantage of a free bet worth up to £30.
