West Ham United could be set for an end to their striker woes this summer, with the Irons new favourites to sign Burnley’s Andre Gray.
The Hammers were 5/2 shots to sign the Clarets ace before today, but our odds-crunchers reckon there’s weight in the increased reports linking him with a move to London Stadium – and have duly slashed odds of that deal to 11/10.
Gray impressed during his first season in the top-flight, netting nine times in 32 games, including a hat-trick against Sunderland – making him the first Clarets player ever to do so in the Premier League.
However, while the Irons – whose strike-force failed to shine last term – are now in pole position for the former Luton Town man’s signature, they’re far from the only interested club.
Everton were previously 6/4 favourites, but while they’ve been pushed back in the market, they’re not out of the running at odds of 7/2 to snap up the Wolverhampton-born ace.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United and Southampton are each 8/1 shots to add the combative striker to their ranks before the window closes, with 10/1 for the player to head home to the Black Country by joining West Bromwich Albion.
One thing our traders do seem pretty sure of is that Burnley fans will have to get used to life without Gray next season, with odds of 8/11 for the former Non-League ace to leave Turf Moor before the window closes.
