Despite both sides being on 16 points, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City’s seasons could not have been more different.
The Baggies got off to a dreadful start with a 6-0 thumping away to Chelsea on their return to the Premier League. However, things got a lot better over the next few weeks with draws against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United and a brilliant 3-2 victory away to Arsenal.
Since then though things have taken a turn for the worse and Roberto Di Matteo’s side are now four games without a victory in the league.
While West Brom have been faltering, Stoke have been flying. Following a run of four straight defeats in the league, Tony Pulis’ men have recorded consecutive victories over Birmingham City and Liverpool to take them well clear of any relegation trouble.
However, both of those games were at the Britannia and the Potters’ away record remains as unimpressive as ever. In their last six away games in the Premier League, they have lost five and found the net just four times.
They should have an easier time finding the net against the Baggies though. West Brom have not kept a clean sheet in any league game since their 1-0 victory over Sunderland in August and boast the fourth worst defensive record in the league.
Backing Stoke to record their third win in a row at 23/10 could certainly be worth backing. However, if you fancy them to continue their poor away record, West Brom are available at 6/5 to come out on top.
